The art of feeling — The Paris Design street

I enjoyed visiting the studios of all the designers. I loved the calm vibe of the design street, where all the shops had their own decoration theme. I loved how all the niche artists displayed their design thoughts and perceptions of the world in their artwork and studios.

Ocean in the house

Of all, Tzuri Gueta, the first designer, was the most memorable. The moment I stepped into his studio, the decoration details, the aesthetic placement, and the harmony of the color and design elements caught my eye instantly. Geuta said he got his inspiration from the ocean. He did a fantastic job materializing his thoughts. Gupta brought the sea to his studio and added his personality to the organization, color theme, and decoration details. Moreover, Guata ideally emerges from the ocean with his personality identity by displaying his fashion work and artwork around the studio.

The love of four months dedicate to the piece

I could see that Guata cherished every piece of his artwork to the extent that he was willing to spend nearly four months on a silicon ocean chair. Based on the details on the chair, it wasn’t hard to see the amount of time and thought he put into this artwork.

Furthermore, the art pieces Guetta made, displayed on the shelf, impressed me. The pieces were very tiny to manipulate. It was surprising how many details each artwork had. I also loved how all the artworks made me, as a viewer, feel something. I believe emotion is the most essential element of a successful artwork.

Discover different forms of art

I want to work with Gueta because I have never used silicon or any other chemical to create art. Gueta’s work opened my mind to more design ideas, and I want to work with more art media using different materials.

The art of multicultural

Through this trip, I saw the passion of every designer through their eyes and works. Besides Gueta, I also loved the designer who makes leather purses. Through the smooth finishing of the purse leather and the simplicity of the design, I could tell the amount of effort the designer put into every one of his collection pieces.

I also loved how the designer tried to incorporate his culture with Japanese culture. He did not attempt to blend the two cultures but intended to show the uniqueness of each culture in his design. The designer kept the originality of his identity, personality, and Japanese culture.

The power of passion

The success of both designers reassured me that I should continue with my passion. I want to work in the fashion field and own my own fashion brand. However, I did not go to design or art school. I have always been scared that my lack of design knowledge or sewing skills will prevent me from becoming a fashion designer. Double majoring in fashion media and marketing did not strengthen my resume as a future designer. Seeing designers from fields other than art boosted my confidence and inspired me to continue making my dream a reality. Both designers serve as a massive inspiration for me to keep going with my art passion.

Paris is more than you imagine

Fashion and art are competitive industries. But seeing the whole street of successful niche designers opened my mind to new possibilities. Paris is the heart of art and fashion. The fact that I got such fashion and art resources further inspired me to go see more exhibitions and explore art in Paris during my time in the city.
